New Rifles for Hunting Season in Pennsylvania
This page is for Pennsylvania hunters planning for the coming season. As of October 10, 2026, several rifle makers have released new models or new versions of existing rifles. Below are four of them, using only details from the makers' and press announcements. Where an announcement gives no price, we say so and do not guess.
Use the search box in the menu, or the links below, to check our catalog for any model. Each section gives the announcement date, so you can see how recent the information is.
Savage AXIS 2 PRO in Mossy Oak Bottomland
This is a Savage AXIS 2 PRO rifle finished in Mossy Oak Bottomland camouflage. The camouflage pattern is the main detail announced for this version. The announcement is dated September 30, 2026. It does not include a price, so none is quoted here.
If you hunt in wooded or marshy cover, the camouflage finish may suit you. Handle the rifle at a local dealer before you decide, and check the listed details against your own hunt.

Bergara Competition Elite PRS
The Bergara Competition Elite PRS is a rifle from Bergara. The announcement is dated September 29, 2026. The name suggests a rifle aimed at precision rifle competition, but the announcement does not describe its barrel, action or caliber, so we leave those details out.
No price appears in the announcement. If you are weighing this rifle against a hunting model, compare the listed specifications on the manufacturer's page and ask a dealer to show you one in person.
Savage Model 334 in new cartridges
Savage has added new cartridge options for the Model 334, according to an announcement dated September 23, 2026. It does not name the cartridges, so they are not listed here. Check the caliber line on each product page in our catalog before you order ammunition, since a rifle chambered for one round will not fire another.
Cartridge choice matters more than the model name when you plan a hunt. Match the round to the game you hunt and the distances you expect, and ask a dealer to confirm the chambering.
Springfield Armory Model 2020 Waypoint
The Springfield Armory Model 2020 Waypoint is a bolt-action precision rifle line. The source is a guns.com report dated September 1, 2026. It describes a version with SG-100 Cerakote finish.
The same guns.com report gives a manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of $1,995 for the three new Waypoints, offered in all calibers. This is the MSRP reported by guns.com, not a price we have confirmed with Springfield Armory. Prices at dealers can differ.
