This Imperial Russian Model 1891 Mosin-Nagant was made in 1916, mid-way through the First World War, and is chambered in 7.62x54R with a 32-inch round barrel, serial R448902. The serial numbers do not match, but the original receiver markings are sharp. The bore is dark with faint rifling remaining. The stock has a light varnished finish with expected handling marks, overall condition is very good, and the action works correctly. It comes with bayonet, sling, cleaning kit, oiler and ammunition pouch.
With a dark bore and faint rifling this is a display rifle, not a deer gun, even though Pennsylvania allows manually operated centerfire rifles for deer and bear. Its appeal to a Pennsylvania buyer is as a complete Great War grouping: the main Russian infantry rifle of that war, with bayonet and field kit, ready for a wall or a reenactor's impression. The 32-inch barrel is a lot of rifle for a tree stand anyway. Leave the hunting to a rifle with a sharp bore.
