A Soviet M91/30 bolt-action rifle made at Izhevsk Arsenal in 1944, chambered in 7.62x54R with a 29-inch round barrel. The bore is bright and shiny with strong, well-defined rifling the whole way down. Serial numbers match, consistent with the post-war Soviet refurbishment this rifle went through, and the left side of the receiver carries an import mark. Overall condition is very good with typical service wear. Importer serial number 070911.

The M91/30 was the main Soviet infantry rifle of the Second World War and was built in huge numbers, so refurbished examples like this are the affordable entry into wartime military rifles for a Pennsylvania collector. The action is smooth, mechanically sound and functions correctly. It is also a manually operated centerfire rifle, which makes it legal for Pennsylvania's regular firearms deer season, Nov. 28 through Dec. 13, for anyone who wants to hunt with a piece of history.
