Colt 1860 Army 2nd Model Richards Conversion

Serial 195793 is a Colt 1860 Army 2nd Model Richards conversion made in the 1870s, chambered in .44 Colt centerfire with an 8-inch barrel. Roughly 90 percent of the original nickel finish remains, the cylinder scene is very good, the grips are excellent, and every number matches. The action works perfectly. The supplier calls it a very fine example of the 2nd Model conversion, and the surviving nickel is the headline.

Richards conversions are bought by Pennsylvania collectors of Colt percussion and cartridge revolvers, and this one brings together the points that are usually hard to find at once: high original nickel, a clear cylinder scene, matching numbers and a working action. It is a collector revolver to be studied and displayed, and the listing's condition statements, not any promise of range use, are the facts to weigh when you compare it with others.
