This SIG SP47/8 dates from the late 1940s and carries serial 6147, an early example fitted with a .22 LR conversion and a 4.7-inch barrel. The bore is excellent and about 99 percent of the original finish remains. The grips are excellent. It is sold on consignment, and it has a documented place in print: this is the pistol photographed as the SIG P210-7 example in Larry Vickers' SIG book.
For a Pennsylvania buyer this is a collector's pistol with a bonus, since the .22 LR conversion means it can be shot on a club range with rimfire ammunition. Most owners will keep it as a reference piece in a SIG collection, where the early serial, the conversion and the book appearance set it apart. Pennsylvania has no permit to purchase, no registration and no waiting period; the paperwork is Form 4473 and the Record of Sale at your dealer, plus a PICS check. A later private sale would have to go through a dealer or a county sheriff's office.
